LEAVE A GIFT IN YOUR WILL TO SKIN CANCER checking and awareness
Write LVDCF into your Will and help us protect people from skin cancer.
Helping to protect others from the ravages of melanoma and other skin cancers could be the legacy you leave behind to your loved ones. When you leave a gift in your Will to Lions V Districts Cancer Foundation, you provide this valuable and dedicated project with the tools to conduct skin cancer screening across Victoria and Southern NSW and to increase awareness of skin protection and care.
Often people who choose to include a cancer charity in their Will have lost a loved one to cancer or have had cancer themselves. We are grateful and humbled by those who leave a legacy to this project through a gift in their Will.
No matter the size or amount you are able to give, LVDCF is honoured to count you among our wonderful bequestors.
If you would like to learn more please follow the steps below.
How to leave a bequest
STEP ONE – HAVE A CHAT
Contact us with your details and we will arrange to have a chat. We will assist with any queries you may have and can post or email you any further information you require bequest booklet to peruse at your leisure and discuss with family, before a decision.
STEP TWO – TAKE ACTION
Call your solicitor and make an appointment to create or update your Will to include a bequest to ACRF. You will need our recommended Will Wording (see below). If you haven’t got a family solicitor, you may wish to attend one of ACRF’S annual Wills Day events held in Sydney, where a pro bono solicitor will create a Simple Will for a greatly reduced fee.
“I give to the Lions V Districts Cancer Foundation (ABN 80 754 119 500) of PO Box 554 Colac, Victoria 3250, for the purposes of funding the operation of the Skin Cancer Check and Awareness Unit, free from all taxes and duties, (here please specify your gift, eg. the sum of $X). I direct that the receipt of any director or other proper officer for the time being of that Foundation will be a sufficient discharge to my Trustees.
STEP THREE – LET US KNOW
We would love to know so we can celebrate your decision to include us in your Will, thereby helping us outsmart cancer!
